frog outside the well, 1992

This work took form from the artist's recent trip to Bali, when the sounds of nature
were her familiar companion during the evenings. Likewise with the other works in this series,
the blank space plays an important part in the balance and appeal of the work.
The stark relief form of the frog and the lotus leaves, are carefully contrasted
with delicate and subtle washes of colors used in the background.
