liftoff by NASA ORIRIS-REx Mission to Asteroid Bennu

2023 is a significant year for the history of digital art. 3 artworks by Lin Hsin Hsin were etched by NASA on an INTEL CHIP, and placed on board the OSIRIS-Rex (Origins Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification, Security-Regolith Explorer). The OSIRIS-Rex travelled 5.86 billion kilometres from planet Earth to arrive and land on the Asteroid Bennu on December 3, 2018 to collect samples from the asteroid that may offer insights into the history of our solar system. NASA's OSIRIS-Rex is scheduled to return to Earth on September 24, 2023, bringing back these 3 artworks by Lin Hsin Hsin, and marking the completion to this historic mission and remarkable journey to advance humanity’s understanding of our cosmos.
