Lin Hsin Hsin: Dialog with Space

Exhibition in 🇫🇷

2009 November
40th anniversary of Man landed on Moon

Apart from the 20 oil paintings and mixed media, Lin continued her dialog with these celestial bodies digitally. On May 20, 2009, Lin's equation-based, single process enabled her to create a digital 3D sculpture and animation titled Fanfare -- a celebration depicting the success of man landed on moon July 20, 1969.

Interestingly, November 2009, Lin was invited to participate in "The year of Astronomy" Exhibition held in the Metz Technopole, Moselle, 🇫🇷 for the 40th anniversary of Man landed on Moon

This event was supported by:

🇫🇷  The Ministry of Research & Technology of France
🇫🇷  The Office of the Cultural, Scientific and Technology of Lorraine, France
🇫🇷  The Metz Urban Area (CA2M) as part of the "Science Festival"

Lin was the only real digital artist from Singapore invited for this event with a mandatory requirement of the artist's background in both mathematics & digital Sculptures. Indeed, Lin's first forray into digital sculptures -and 3D printing originated in Paris, 1999, while this technology was still in its infancy! This exhibition in France was a double joy for Lin, because Lin was invited to diner with Buzz Aldrin, the 2nd man landed on the moon, 1989!

Over the years, Lin has met several astronauts from 🇪🇺 and 🇺🇸. She has visited 3 space stations in USA, and even witnessed a minute silence, on the 10th anniversary for the Challenger's mission, enroute to the Kennedy Space Center, Florida, January 28, 1996, 11:39:13 EST.
