@ the Lin Hsin Hsin's 6th solo exhibition vernissage.
July 4, 1989 Lin Hsin Hsin is the FIRST Singaporean artist selected and be invited by Deutsche Bank RHO and Deutsche Bank AG, Singapore Branch to stage a solo exhibition to commenerate the opening of the bank's office in the Temasek Tower1 in 1989.

It is a great honour and pleasure for both the Deutsche Bank and myself to help launch the exhibition of works by Lin Hsin Hsin. Why are we supporting an exhibition by a Singaporean artist? Partly because of the refreshing open attitude and interest shown by the artists last year when we were selecting contemporary German and Singapore art for permanent display at the premises of our Regional Head Office. The collection naturally includes works by Lin Hsin Hsin. The other reasons stems from Lin Hsin Hsin's motivation. This exhibition of 120 paintings at the National Museum Art Gallery and her works displayed at the Deutsche Bank in Singapore bear witness to the attention she devotes to other cultures. Much to our delight, 45 paintings in this exhibition depict her reflections of the trip to Germany last year. She was evidentlyfacinated by the work of her fellow German and European artists, which she saw in the numerous and galleries she visited.

By bringing together German Art and contemporary art of the respect host countries. Deutsche Bank hopes to promote cultural exchange between nations. It is most exhilarating and rewarding to see this idea developed and explored in this exhibition.

On behalf of the Board of Managing Directors of Deutsche Bank and Deutsche Bank in Singapore, I should like to sincerely thank Ms Lin Hsin Hsin.
